Letter from the Alzheimer's Association

 Advocacy Federal Update Header JPEG
Dear Wentworth at Willow Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care in Sandy Utah,

Did you watch the State of the Union address last night and the Republican response? If you did, you received a good indication of the political environment we will be operating in as we advocate this year for continued progress in the fight to overcome Alzheimer’s. Our community will need to be strong and clear in the midst of an election year. But with your help, our message that Alzheimer’s can’t wait will be heard.

An important opportunity lies ahead several weeks from now on February 13. This is when the President is expected to release his Budget Request to Congress. If the Administration intends to request new resources from Congress to support the first National Alzheimer’s Plan, this is the place he will do so. It's critical that you continue to help us provide input on what's needed in a comprehensive plan with the resources to support it. Please take a minute and
provide your input to the Administration.

We'll continue to keep you updated in this process and will ask you to take action again in the coming weeks. We are in a critical time for our movement as we take every opportunity to push for a world without Alzheimer’s and truly appreciate all you do to advance this cause.
Our families won't forget.

Sincerely,
Robert Egge
Vice President, Public Policy
Alzheimer's Association
